Sophie Christiansen first to win three golds at Paralympics

Report by Katie Lamborn

Dressage star Sophie Christiansen, who has cerebal palsy, has become the first member of ParalympicsGB to win three golds at London 2012.

The 24-year-old won in the freestyle dressage Grade 1a. Her routine included excerpts from Land of Hope and Glory and also featured Big Ben's chimes.

This added to an individual championship title and a team gold medal.

Sophie, who was riding six-year-old Janiero, said: "I'm not enitrely sure it's sunk in yet.

"I loved riding my freestyle music. I worked so hard, so I really felt like I had to fight for that record."
