Team GB's taekwondo bronze medallist Lutalo Muhammad may have lost his quarter final at London 2012 but says the experience was one he would "cherish for the rest of my life."
After beating Tajikistan's Farkhod Negmatov 7-1 in the first round, Muhammad was defeated by Spain's Nicolas Garcia Hemme in the -80kg at the ExCeL Centre.
"It has been a wonderful experience and I'm very happy and proud that I was able to win bronze for Team GB," said Muhammad.
"Doing it in front of a home crowd with all the home support was fantastic, an experience I will never forget and cherish for the rest of my life."
Muhammad also hopes the medal win will be good for Taekwondo as a whole.
He said: "With Jade [Jones] winning gold the day before me, then me getting the bronze, we both made history.
"It has been a wonderful Games for Taekwondo and I really hope we can push forward from this into Rio and hopefully get some more medals."
