British cyclist Laura Trott says she is relieved to finally be able to go public with her boyfriend, fellow double gold medallist Jason Kenny.

The couple confirmed they are together after they were spotted kissing at a beach volleyball match on Wednesday.

The pair started dating last month, but decided to keep their romance a secret until the end of the Olympic cycling competition to avoid it becoming a distraction.

Speaking to reporters Laura said she is happy that she can now hold Jason's hand in public.
