Team USA are having a "blast" at London 2012, according to the group's chief.

Chef de mission Teresa Edwards, herself a former Olympic basketball player, said that the athletes were enjoying their accomodation, including good toilet paper and water.

She told reporters: "These games, I can honestly say from my heart, are very exciting for me.

"It's very enriching to watch young talent come to the forefront that we didn't anticipate.

"These athletes have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, have worked and sacrificed to be here."
