William and Kate visit Team GB House

Report by Mark Morris

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge visited Team GB House on Friday to personally thank Olympic volunteers.

The royal couple arrived at Team GB headquarters just in time to be part of the loud cheer for the men's team pursuit cyclists, who won gold.

William and Kate apparently personally requested the visit in order to give their thanks to the army of Olympic volunteers.

The gathering was attended by members of the military, 'Games Maker' volunteers and a range of other volunteers working with Team GB.
