Team GB's track and field athletes have arrived at the Olympic Village in Stratford from their training ground in Portugal, and poster girl Jessica Ennis says she has been overwhelmed at the atmosphere.
The first-time Olympian said she was blown away by the stadium and was enjoying the buzz of the crowds.
Heptathlete Ennis is facing the pressure from the home crowd - as a key Olympic athlete she is expected to perform well, but she said she was trying to avoid the extra pressure of the hype surrounding her.
Meanwhile, team captain Dai Greene said he too was avoiding the hype surrounding his hotly anticipated hurdles performance, saying simply that it was "always good when people say nice things about you".
