Tom Daley and Pete Waterfield have finished fourth in the men's synchronised 10m platform diving final.

Daley, 18, and Waterfield, 31, finished behind the US, Mexico and China.

The crowd was loud inside the Aquatics Centre as Daley is a Team GB posterboy.

The pair were in the medal places and were two points up in first place after three dives, but they received a poor score for their fourth and never quite recovered.

Chinese divers Cao Yuan and Zhang Yanquan won gold.

Daley still has another shot at a medal in the solo event on August 11.
