British swimmer Rebecca Adlington has claimed Team GB's second medal in the 2012 Olympics after winning bronze in the 400 metres freestyle.
The 23-year-old, who won two gold medals in Beijing in 2008, produced a performance full of guts and determination.
She made a late charge at the Aquatics Centre on Sunday evening and touched in four minutes 03.01seconds.
France's Camille Muffat took gold and set a new Olympic record and textile world record of four minutes 01.45 seconds, while Allison Schmitt of the United States came second.
Two-time world champion Federica Pellegrini of Italy finished fifth.
