US sprinter Carl Lewis says he thinks the US team will win the most gold medals in the sprints at London 2012.
"I was at the Olympic trials in the US and I think the real story of the sprints is how strong the American team does," said the multiple Olympic champion.
He added: "I really think the American team are going to be strong again. They're back to the top, they look stronger than any team, they're ready and their light switch was already on when they got here."
The athlete also praisedthe host city, saying: "This is wonderful, it's a great city, I enjoy London very much and thank goodness the weather is holding off."
His only complaint was that Roger Bannister had not been a part of the Olympic opening ceremony on Friday.
