Joanna Lumley and her Absolutely Fabulous co-star Jennifer Saunders are some of the latest celebrities to have carried the Olympic torch.

Travelling along a section of London's King's Road on Thursday, the pair smiled and waved to the hundreds of spectators who lined the route to cheer them on.

After their quick leg, they were rewarded with a bottle of champagne, with Saunders, in the character of Eddy, saying: "What's ruined sport for me is that everyone's so hydrated. I was thinking how much more fun it would be if they let people drink in the Olympics.

"In the old days, when people weren't so hydrated and they used to wobble over the finish line, I liked that. I don't want everybody hydrated and fit and healthy."
