Fans of Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics got a surprise snap with David Beckham as they posed for photos in Westfield Stratford City.
The trick was played on 60 members of the public, including 12-year-old schoolboy Christian Lewis, who burst into tears when he spotted the footballer coming through the door.
The former England skipper, now playing with LA Galaxy, gave the boy a hug as the youngster's mother looked on.
"He's his hero. He just popped out and you know, David Beckham just showed his face and said do you mind if I come into your picture. He started crying and it made me start crying. It was amazing," said his mother Elaine.
The stunt was part of Adidas's Take the Stage campaign, which aims to support British sporting talent.
