Boris Johnson will pledge his loyalty to David Cameron when he addresses the Tory Party conference in Birmingham at 11am.

The London mayor is set for a triumphant appearance after revelling in a hero's welcome from activists last night.

It comes amid speculation about his leadership ambitions, but in his keynote speech he will insist he is completely loyal to the Prime Minister and will praise him for taking "difficult decisions in difficult times".
