Doctor Who: Matt Smith wants to duet with Mariah Carey

Doctor Who star Matt Smith has revealed he is a big Mariah Carey fan and would like to sing with her at Glastonbury.

Speaking at the launch of the second half of series seven, which kicks off with a London-set episode entitled The Bells Of St John, Matt talked about the American popstar.

When a reporter told him that Mariah is rumoured to be performing at the festival the actor responded with a lot of enthusiasm, saying :" Wowzers, we could sing you will always be my sweetheart straight up."

He added: "I would definitely watch her."

Meanwhile, the time slot for Doctor Who's return later this month has been confirmed.

The Bells of Saint John, the first of eight new episodes, will air at 6.10pm on Saturday, March 30, according to the Radio Times.
