Bruce Willis has defended the Die Hard films after criticism they glorify violence, during a press conference in Berlin.

The 57-year-old action star said: "These films are just for entertainment. I don't think anyone who comes to the movies thinks that anyone was really killed during the movies.

"There is a huge difference between what happens in the world and what happens in a piece of entertainment."

He then went on to say that despite his hard man image he is a real softie, revealing he enjoys making cornmeal pancakes.

He then joked that even his wife thinks he's a big softie, before doing an impression of a cat!
