Jay-Z is seen chatting to an old lady on the New York subway in a documentary he has uploaded to YouTube.

Where I'm From is all about the rapper's run of shows in Brooklyn back in September.

In one scene, he is seen taking the subway to his own concert and sits down next to the elderly lady called Ellen.

She asks: "Are you famous?"

To which Jay-Z replies: "Not very famous. You don't know me."

After a brief conversation, Ellen asks again for Jay's name and realises who he is, saying: "Oh you're Jay-Z! I know about Jay-Z."
