Thor 2 and Luther star Idris Elba has revealed just what he looks for in a woman.

Talking about what qualities an independent woman should have, the British actor said: "self confidence plays a big part" and "a good kind heart always helps". He added that his favourite though was "a soft touch".

Elba, who plays a Detective Chief Inspector in Luther, hinted that his character gets a love interest in the new series of the BBC drama.

Keeping busy, the Londoner is currently in the process of filming Thor 2 which he says is going to be "brilliant".

"We've got a great director, a great set of new characters, it's going to be fantastic."
