Gillian Anderson dazzled in gold and cream at the Harper's Bazaar Awards 2012, where she spoke about her upcoming film and television roles.
"I did a series for the BBC that's starting in January or February," she said.
"I play a detective superintendent."
She also chatted about her new film Sister "which is a Belgian/Swiss production and about to open".
It tells the story of a 12-year-old thief who steals from wealthy patrons of a ski resort.
As the awards ceremony was celebrating this year's inspiring women, Gillian revealed she finds fellow actress Marion Cotillard to be inspirational.
That was confirmed when Marion picked up the prize for International Actor of the Year at the bash.
