South Korea's latest star has been spreading his infectious dance and song across Australia.

Psy performed Gangnam Style on the Sunrise breakfast show in Sydney where he revealed he was a reluctant sex symbol.

"Honestly, I've never heard about any sex symbol in my home country, and let me proudly say physically I'm not sexy, but some sort of mentally a little bit," he confessed.

The singer, whose real name is Park Jai-sang, has taken the pop world by storm, but he is not concerned if Gangnam Style remains his only hit.

"The thing is, even if it is one hit wonder I don't care because still, look at them, today so beautiful, so this is OK," he said, as he revelled in the attention from the gathered crowd.

Psy plans to release a new record in November.
