Emma Watson was just one of the celebrities that turned out for the 19th Annual Elle Women in Hollywood celebration, with the actress speaking about her life after Harry Potter.

"It has been a scary few years for me. I spent over a decade playing the same thing and the same part," she said.

"To know that the new work I am doing is being appreciated and supported is really nice to have this vote of confidence. I am really grateful."

The elegant event took place at the Four Seasons Hotel, where a diverse group of women were honoured for their impact on and achievements in the film industry.

Stars being recognised included Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon, Uma Thurman and Shirley MacLaine, who was awarded the evening's Legend Award.
