Disney actress Laura Marano has revealed why boybands One Direction and The Wanted are so popular in the US.

"There's nothing more appealing to an American girl than a British accent," she said.

When asked if she is a fan of the boybands, Laura admitted she was more of a "Daniel Radcliffe kind of girl", but that she listens to the music of both groups.

She was recently identified as one-to-watch in a Times Magazine feature about Disney Channel’s talent nurturing.
