Bond memorabilia auction raises thousands

Report by Andrea Lilly

A charity auction of props from James Bond films has raised thousands of pounds.

Bond fans fought each other for 11 pieces of movie and book history in an auction of 007 memorabilia.

Many of the items were introduced by the 007 stars themselves, including Sir Roger Moore and Dame Judi Dench.

Among the sales were a navy Tom Ford suit, worn by Daniel Craig in the new Skyfall film, which fetched £46,850.

Bond's navy and powder blue swimming trunks by La Perla sold for £44,450.

James Bond's 2008 Aston Martin 6 Litre V12 DBS, which was driven by Craig in Quantum Of Solace, sold for £241,250.

The orchestral score for the theme song Skyfall, signed by Adele sold for £13,750.

The auction marked the 50th anniversary of the first Bond film, Dr. No.

Proceeds from the sales went to various charities.
