Kylie Minogue praised her dedicated Brazilian fans as she promoted her new movie, Holy Motors, at this year's Rio Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro.

Although Kylie is not a household name in Brazil, she has a strong fan base there.

It's her third visit to the country, but definitely not her last, as she wants to spend more time delving into Brazilian culture.

"One of the reasons I wanted to come to this festival was that I know Brazilian fans are so welcoming. They have been so welcoming with me in the times I have been here.

"Whether I'm doing a concert in Paris, London, or wherever it is, there's generally a big Brazilian flag somewhere. I'm pretty seduced by the passion here, and the music, and the lifestyle, so I need to come back for a proper holiday," she said.

Holy Motors will start showing in cinemas throughout Brazil on October 12.
