Family Guy and Ted star Seth MacFarlane has been chosen to host the 85th annual Academy Awards.
Producers from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences released a statement that said: "His performing skills blend perfectly with our ideas for making the show entertaining and fresh".
It will be Seth's first time on the Oscar stage.
He recently made a name for himself on the big screen with his directorial debut, Ted, which earned 420 million dollars worldwide.
MacFarlane is also the creative force behind the long running animated TV series Family Guy and American Dad.
The Oscars will be handed out in Hollywood on February 24.
