Homeland star Damian Lewis has revealed how it feels to win an Emmy Award.
The British actor was named best actor at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles for his role in Homeland.
He said: "There's no real way to judge these things. You just, somehow become a favourite, I don't know what that chemistry is between actor and audience, but these things shouldn't really be judged.
"Winning the Emmy is quite surreal. It's a big hoopla, the whole day. Really almost the more important moment for me was being nominated. It's being invited to top table with other people who are doing great work. I mean, when you're asked to be one of those that feels like a great moment of acceptance and very rewarding in itself, " he said.
Homeland season 2 starts on Channel 4 on October 7.
