Rebecca Ferguson has opened up about the lowest point in her career, and why she left her management.

"You know what I got to a point when I was really low and I felt like I can't be bothered with the industry anymore, but then I found some fire in my belly.

"I then thought I'm not going to let anyone or anything stop me. I can sing and write this is my talent," she said.

Modest Management has filed a High Court writ, asking for a declaration that the star unlawfully ended her contract and are seeking 20 per cent of her future earnings.

Rebecca added: "Right now I just want to focus on my music and career, that's what I'm good at doing and what I enjoy.
