Clint Eastwood doesn't regret RNC chair joke

Report by Louise Hulland

Speaking at the premiere of his new film, Clint Eastwood has said America needs a change from President Obama.

He was at the LA launch of Trouble with the Curve when he was asked about his now infamous 'chair' speech at the Republican National Conference.

When asked if he would continue to support Mitt Romney, Clint said: "Sure I would.

"I just think we need a change, that's all."

The director of the film, Robert Lorenz, commented on the public's reaction to the movie now they know Eastwood's political beliefs, saying: "Some people may come and some people may not because of it. But, in the end, it's not a political movie.

"Myself, the other cast, we all have different political ideas. We all came together and put those aside and made a film. So, I hope people treat it as such."
