Robbie Williams has become a father for the first time.

His wife, Ayda, gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday afternoon and the couple have called her Theodora Rose.

The Take That star officially broke the news on his website, writing: "Praise be, It's Theodora Rose Williams, affectionately known as Teddy.....Born 3.33pm on 18.9.12,7lbs 4oz."

He then added: "Baby, mummy and daddy are all rockin....Thank you for your best wishes, xxxx"

Celebrities including Chris Moyles, Ronan Keating and Gary Barlow have rushed to congratulate the star, with Gary saying: "Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you."
