Selena Gomez stepped out on the red carpet to greet hundreds of screaming fans at the world premiere of new film Spring Breakers.

The former Disney actress was joined at the Venice Film Festival event by co-stars Vanessa Hugdens, Ashley Benson and James Franco.

During the film Selena plays the part of Faith, the least wild one of a group of four young college students who take an excursion on their mid term spring break.

Spring breakers is in the running for the sought after Golden Lion prize.
