New pictures have been released of Lindsay Lohan playing Elizabeth Taylor in the TV movie Liz & Dick.

Despite a difficult week, the actress has been striving to turn around her bad girl image in recent months after being in and out of jail, rehab and court since 2007.

Liz & Dick is based on the true story of Taylor's relationship with actor Richard Burton, who she married twice throughout her life.

Lohan portrays Taylor opposite Grant Burton as Burton.

Television audiences in the US will get to see Liz & Dick when it airs on Lifetime Television on November 3.
