Gangnam Style: K-Pop sensation PSY on global success

Report by Rob Gillett

The video for South Korean pop sensation PSY's latest single Gangnam Style has now been watched more than 50 million

times on YouTube.

The singer, who has been a big name in his home country for over a decade, has received support for the song from a number of celebrities including Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, T-Pain and Nelly Furtado, who even performed some of the song at a recent concert.

The 34-year old whose real name is Jae-Sang Park, is one of a number of artists enjoying the growing success of K-Pop in the US.

Last week he met with Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, as Gangnam Style spent a fourth week at the top of Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 chart.

Speaking of his now global success, PSY said: "I became somebody like 12 years ago in Korea and I felt just the same way

right now.

"This is a really lovely feeling."
