Clive Owen has congratulated former co-star Jennifer Aniston on her engagement to Justin Theroux, while attending the launch of his new film Shadow Dancer.

The British actor starred with the former Friends star in 2005 film Derailed and when asked about Jen's engagement Clive said: "Big congratulations, she's lovely"

Adding: "I wish her all the best."

The 47-year-old was talking at the London premiere of new thriller Shadow Dancer, written by journalist and broadcaster Tom Bradby.

Owen plays an MI5 agent who arrests a woman from Northern Ireland involved in a IRA terrorist plot.

But despite a convinging portrayal of a secret agent the actor shrugged off any suggestion that he may be in line to play James Bond.
