Teenage star Miley Cyrus was back at work just an hour after accepting actor Liam Hemsworth's marriage proposal.

Miley said she was "completely surprised" when the Hunger Games star presented her with a $100,000 engagement ring in May.

But as a Marie Claire cover shoot was already in the diary, after the big question was popped at their home she went straight to work.

On marriage she said: "A lot of people say, 'I can't believe they're getting married and they're so young', but I think life is too short to not spend every moment making the person that makes you the happiest, happy in return.

"I'm really happy."
