Roseanne Barr has become the latest willing victim of the Comedy Central roast series.
Glee's Jane Lynch was Roast Master for the event, with Roseanne actor Michael Fishman and comedian Gilbert Gottfried among those lining up to take their comic shots at the star.
"She's consistently honest and right out there with what she thinks and how she feels," Lynch said graciously. "'Roseanne' blew all the records in terms of sitcoms and for that alone, she deserves to have this night."
Barr won an Emmy for her sitcom, which from 1988 to 1997 portrayed the life of a blue collar family. She recently lost out in her bid to run for US president, but insists politics is not just a gimmick for her.
"Every citizen should get out there and get involved, everyday, everybody. Get out there and get involved."
Charlie Sheen, Joan Rivers, Pamela Anderson and Donald Trump have also been on the receiving end of a comedy roast.
