Beyonce has recorded a public service announcement in support of World Humanitarian Day.

In the one-minute video, Beyonce urges everyone to do "one thing for another human being" on August 19.

On the same day the singer will also be performing her song I Was Here for an internet audience at www.whdiwashere.org.

Every year, the World Humanitarian Organization honours those who have helped people around the world.
