Marilyn Monroe is one of the best loved and most recognised film stars in the world, 50 years after her death.
She was 36 years old when she died from an apparent drug overdose at her home in Brentwood, Los Angeles on August 5, 1962.
Fans and friends still gather at her pink marble grave to remember her on the anniversary of her death.
Aside from the glamour she exuded on screen, she is remembered for both her personality and timelessness.
Fan Roxie Raab said: "She came from a small town and made it big, and I think everybody has that dream and I think she really engulfed that and everyone believed in her and she was absolutely gorgeous."
Monroe would have turned 86 on June 1.
