X Factor's Amelia Lily has revealed she is still friends with ex-mentor Kelly Rowland and can always call her for a chat.

"I spoke to Kelly just before The X Factor tour started and she sent me a big bouquet of flowers. It's nice to hear from her every now and again," the former contestant said.

Kelly Rowland quit the show after one year as a judge, being replaced by Nicole Scherzinger.

Amelia is backing Nicole to do a great job, she said: " I think she's a great choice, I've always been a fan of hers, she's been in the musical industry for so long now."

Since last year's X Factor, Amelia has signed a record deal with new Sony Music label, Xenomania.

Her debut single, You Bring Me Joy, is out on September 2.
