Snow White's director Rupert Sanders, who it has been revealed has had an affair with Kristen Stewart, described the actress as "rebellious" whilst promoting the movie last month.

"She's tough Kristen. She's rebellious and she's very instinctive as an actress," said the director when interviewed in June.

He added: "She'll really go there. I made her do some horrible things, but I think it shows in the performance. She's jumping off cliffs, she's riding horses into battles, she's plunged into freezing waters, she has a tough time of it.

"She's very immersed in the world and that was very important to me."

Both Kristen and Rupert have issued statements since the revelations apologising for their actions.
