Hugh Jackman has spoken about the new Wolverine script being "the best they've ever had".

The star spoke about the successful Wolverine franchise saying: "So, for me, I do it one at a time, so I see how I go.

"When I saw the script for this I thought this was the best script we've had and this is our chance to make the definitive movie."

He also spoke about filming in Australia: "We start filming in a week and I am so happy to be home, to be shooting a movie of this magnitude here at home is one of the great privileges I have had in my career.

"I am lucky that both 'Wolverine' movies have been shot here, which is just such a great thrill because we have a terrific Australian movie industry."

The Australian Government supported this film with 12.8 million dollars.

Filming is scheduled to begin on July 30.
