Justin Bieber surprised his fans in Australia by greeting them outside his hotel.

A large crowd gathered outside the Olsen Hotel in the Melbourne suburb of South Yarra, where the 18 year old Canadian musician could be seen sitting in the restaurant. He left his table to greet fans outside the lobby.

An excited fan told local media: "We met Justin Bieber! Oh my god. We waited like 20 hours for One Direction to come and we didn't wait even 3 hours yet. We just met Justin Bieber!"

Justin is in Australia for a three day tour to promote his second album, 'Believe'.

He did not speak to reporters, but he tweeted: "Hate these long flights. But worth it to see my fans in Australia."

Apparently, Bieber will record a performance for the final of the Australia's Got Talent television show in Melbourne before flying to Sydney on Monday night.
