Earning a staggering £23m between May 2011 and May 2012, Adele has made it onto the top ten of the highest-paid celebrities under the age of 30.

It put her at number six in the Forbes list, which was dominated by women singers, with Taylor Swift topping the charts, having earned £37 million.

Justin Bieber was the only male in the top five, which also included Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

Experts examined album and concert sales, film deals and advertising endorsements to reach the figures.

Adele, who recently revealed she is pregnant with her first child, had the world's biggest-selling album last year with 21, which sold more than 17 million copies.
