Anne Hathaway has revealed what it was like to play action hero Catwoman in the new Batman, The Dark Knight Rises movie.

She says: "The idea was this is a girl who can defend herself. And how do we show that? Because I'm going to be going up against guys who are a foot taller than me and three-times as broad.

"So, we developed a fighting style for her that would make you believe that this is a girl who actually gets out of scrapes and can take care of herself. And was about being really strong, really quick and really sharp. And we thought if we could sell that, then people would believe it."

Anne has also recently chopped off her hair for the lead role in the movie version of Les Miserables.

"So, after I had finally broken through and actually become an athlete, I had to strip it all away and cut all my hair which is gone."

Both films are predicted to be big at the box office. Les Miserables is out in 2013, while The Dark Knight Rises is released June 20 in the UK.
