Katy Perry says the film about her life documents everything she has done up until now, including her marriage breakdown with Russell Brand.

Katy Perry: Part of Me has been described as a front row seat into the life of Katy.

The singer has documented her life on and off-stage from the beginning of her career to her California Dreams world tour in 2011 and her short marriage to comedian Russell Brand.

According to Perry, it would have been dishonest of her to avoid any part of her life. The singer said she wants fans to know that even she has to overcome life's "curveballs."

The 27-year-old said: "I was very careful every step of the way. That's why we didn't sell our wedding photos and that's why we're both trying to keep it between each other, but it is a lesson learned."
