Andrew Garfield's Natural History Museum Spider-Man stunt

Report by Natalie Powell

The star of The Amazing Spider-Man film, Andrew Garfield, made a guest appearance at the American Museum of Natural History in New York as part of a publicity blitz for the film.

A stunt man dressed as Spider-Man launched himself off the museum's roof towards the applauding crowd below.

At the event, Garfield was presented with a live Chilean rose tarantula by Norman Platnick, a curator of the museum.

The actor then posed for photos with fans.

The Amazing Spider-Man opens in the US, UK and Canada on July 3rd.
