Girl power is alive and well according to the Spice Girls, who have reunited to launch their own musical, Viva Forever.

"Of course it is, it will never die," declared Mel C.

The singer appeared with her four bandmates in London, with Victoria Beckham flying in especially for the event from the US.

Victoria added: "We'll be introducing a whole new generation to girl power as well, and that's really exciting to us, to bring more on board."

"The musical is testimony that girl power has longevity," said Geri Halliwell.

Viva Forever debuts in the West End December and will feature all of their biggest hits.
