Uggie, the canine star of the Oscar-winning film The Artist has marked his official retirement from showbusiness by leaving his paw prints in the cement outside the historic Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
He is the first dog to leave a lasting imprint at the world-famous tourist attraction.
After placing his paws in the cement, Uggie posed for photos alongside fellow canine celebrities Rin Tin Tin and the current Lassie.
Uggie declined to make a speech at the ceremony, so that was left up to his trainer Omar Von Muller.
He said: "This has been a rush. This has been incredible. All the success of Uggie, everybody says that I'm a great trainer, I think he is just a great dog"
Monday was declared "Uggie Day" in Hollywood in honour of the occasion.
