She may be Britain's queen of pop, but it seems even Cheryl Cole was star struck when she got to stand so close to the actual Queen during a recent concert.
The 28-year-old singer performed with Gary Barlow at the Jubilee concert in London on June 4 and afterwards was lined up just behind Her Majesty as Prince Charles read a tribute to his mother.
Cheryl says the Royal was very polite and didn't ask what shade of lipstick the popstar had on.
Although Chezza was a little more nosy about one of the Queen's personal items: "We were all curious as to what she had in her little handbag she carries though.
"I wonder...I think maybe a tissue, grannies always have a tissue, a lipstick, a polo mint."
Speaking about the concert itself, Cheryl said: "It's something you can't prepare yourself for. When you go out there, the overwhelming feeling of patriotism and the Royals being there and Gary being there.
"It's pretty special."
