Sharon Osbourne's tears as she talks about Jack's MS

Sharon Osbourne has broken down in tears as she thanked fans for their support and good wishes after her son Jack was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

Jack, who is just 26, became a father for the first time when his daughter Pearl was born in April.

He was given the news of his diagnosis just two weeks later.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease which affects the central nervous system and can affect muscle control, strength, vision and balance.

Speaking on her US morning chatshow The Talk, an emotional Sharon thanked those who have sent messages of support since the news was made public.

Speaking through sobs she said: "Just thanks to everyone for all their good wishes. It's amazing for Jack and I'm a big believer that vibes and prayer help."

Jack is expected to appear on his mother's show, CBS's The Talk, on Wednesday to talk about his condition.
