Andrew Garfield admitted he was very nervous at The Amazing Spider-Man premiere in London because the city “meant so much” to him.
Garfield said he was “overwhelmed” to be at the event and was stunned at how many people had turned out for the occasion.
Garfield and his rumoured girlfriend Emma Stone, who plays love interest Gwen Stacy in the film, greeted and signed autographs for fans in Leicester Square.
During the film the 28-year-old actor plays the role of teenager Peter Parker who becomes a superhero after he is bitten by a mutant spider.
The Amazing Spider-Man in 3D is being released on July 3.
