Dermot O’Leary admitted he thought Nicole Scherzinger will be a great fourth judge on the X Factor as she “just gets it”.

The presenter added that he was looking forward to her first day which will be on Monday for the Newcastle auditions.

At the Spencer Hart show, Dermot O’Leary revealed that the atmosphere changes dramatically depending on which judges are on the panel.

Dermot said Geri Halliwell was very “confrontational” when she was guest judging and said Mel B didn’t care if people booed her.

O’Leary also admitted to loving Rita Ora and said that while the singer was judging on the show, she “spoke a lot of sense”.
