Jennifer Veal, who plays strict British nanny Agatha in Disney Channel's Jessie, says it is great that British talent can make it abroad.

The Coventry actress is recognised by kids throughout the US as the villian in the hit TV show, but even she was astonished by the reaction the One Direction boys got at the Kids Choice Awards.

"Cody Simpson, Katy Perry, they were all walking past me and everyone's screaming.

"Then, 'whoaaaa', I was like who is that? It's got to be the Biebs or something. I was like, who is that? And One Direction had entered the kid's choice awards."

She says the lads have not let it go to their heads though, describing them as "really nice guys".
